About the job

One of Esteemed's agency clients is seeking a Lead Technical Architect for a direct-hire, full time role.

This role is hybrid/onsite in Atlanta, 3 days per week. Candidates must be able to work W2 in the US without sponsorship. No C2C.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

As our Lead Technical Architect, you'll be a critical part of the team, guiding project architecture from the ground up while remaining hands-on with development. You’ll work closely with Client Partnerships, Project Management, and other developers to transform client requirements into solid, scalable solutions. You’ll own the technical vision, architect both the application and development infrastructure, and help ensure the codebase stays healthy with code reviews and mentorship.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Software Development & Architecture

● Translate business requirements into scalable and maintainable technical architecture.

● Integrate with third-party platforms and APIs (e.g., Salesforce, SAP, Seismic).

● Design scalable, secure, and efficient client-side and server-side architectures. ● Develop responsive, high-performance front-end applications with intuitive and accessible UI/UX experiences.

● Build and maintain back-end services and APIs that support data-driven features, user permissions, and cross-platform integration.

● Engineer and document well-structured, maintainable APIs to support custom integrations and workflows.

● Optimize codebases and applications for performance, scalability, and security. Technical Execution & Quality Assurance

● Lead technical implementation of web projects, ensuring timelines and quality standards are met.

● Conduct thorough testing to ensure applications perform reliably across browsers, devices, and operating conditions.

● Implement security best practices, data protection policies, and ensure compliance with accessibility and SEO standards.

● Ensure code meets current best practices across modern frameworks, cloud-based infrastructure, and headless architectures. Collaboration & Process Improvement

● Work closely with Creative, Strategy, and Project Management to translate business needs into technical solutions.

● Contribute to strategic technical planning, helping evaluate tools and frameworks for current and future projects.

● Write and maintain clear technical documentation to support development, QA, and future scalability.

● Provide mentorship and guidance to other developers, offering support in code reviews, technical planning, and development workflows.

● Participate in sprint planning and retrospectives, offering insights to improve internal development processes and delivery.

QUALIFICATIONS:

● You have 5+ years of experience as a Full Stack Developer, ideally in an agency or client-facing environment.

● You have strong experience with modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Vue, etc.) and back-end languages like PHP or Python.

● You have experience building secure, scalable web applications — including integrations with third-party platforms (e.g., Salesforce, SAP, Snowflake, Seismic, or similar).

● You are familiar with RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and authentication systems (OAuth, SSO).

● You understand cloud infrastructure, DevOps workflows, and CI/CD pipelines. ● You have experience with database systems like MySQL, PostgreSQL, or NoSQL solutions.

● You are able to work cross-functionally and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical teams.

● You are a self-starter who is organized, detail-oriented, and excited about delivering high-quality digital experiences.

● Bonus: Experience with headless CMS, Drupal, or mobile app integration.
