Summary:

The content specialist will support the development and execution of new software product features by leveraing market trends and subject matter experts to effectively create content to reach the target market(s) effectively. The specialist will be actively invovled in creating content that communicateds the value of new software advancements and supporting customer engagement through targeted content.  

Core Responsibilities:

  • Write and edit targeted, engaging content that highlights new software features, translating technical details into user-friendly messaging for brochures, blogs, product guides, feature spotlight videos, webinars, newsletters, press releases, case studies, social media, and campaigns aimed at specific customer segments, publications, and internal stakeholders.
  • Develop value propositions for new and existing software products that drive adoption and growth by learning the industry and competitive landscape.
     
  • Collaborate closely with marketing, product, and development teams to gain insights into software features, ensuring accurate, engaging, and technically sound messaging in all marketing materials.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create content that aligns with brand voice, marketing goals and business needs
  • Create, and coordinate social media strategies across multiple platforms in collaboration with the marketing specialist
  • Conduct through research and collaborate with engineers, product owners, and other stakeholders to gather information and ensure content accuracy as well as relevance.
  • Manage multiple projects and meet deadlines consistently.
  • Ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency in materials

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or comparable discipline is required.
  • 3-5 years of related marketing experience desired
  • The ability to translate technical features and benefits statements into value-based integrated marketing communication programs is required.
  • Strong oral and written communications skills. Excellent creative and objective writing skills needed to support marketing material development. Knowledge of APA style is preferred.
     
  • Graphic design experience preferred.
     
  • Experience recording and documenting software workflows, including creating screen recordings and step-by-step tutorials for use in marketing videos and materials.
  • Ability to build relationships with internal stakeholders.
     
  • Proven project management skills, ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs with high quality results and accountability.
     
  • Self-starter with excellent work ethic, outstanding judgment, attention to detail, and positive customer service attitude.
     
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at once with excellent organization skills in a fast-paced environment with little supervision.
     
  • Preferred proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, MailChimp, and WordPress
     
  • A portfolio of published content required
