Location: Madison, Wisconsin
Duration: 8+ Months
Work Arrangement: Hybrid or on-site (contractor's preference). Orientation will be on-site.
Residency Requirement: Candidates MUST be WI residents or willing to relocate to WI prior to starting the role at their own expense.
Interview Process: An in-person or live video interview will be required as part of the review process.
Project Overview
This position will serve as a business analyst for the IRIS 2.0 project, which involves scoping and building a new custom highly automated case management system for the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation.
Required Skills and Experience
Candidates must have 10+ years of experience in the following areas:
- Documenting requirements
- Requirements gathering and analysis
- Technical writing and documentation
- Agile methodologies
Additional Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in:
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Analytical/problem-solving skills
- MS Office Products (including 5+ years in Excel, Word, and Outlook)
- Change management
- Project management
- IT Technologies – skills and concepts
- 5+ years of experience in:
- User test, System test, and User Acceptance test plans
Preferred Skills
- Project Management
- User Test Plans
- Previous work experience with the State of Wisconsin or other government entities
Key Responsibilities
The Sr Business Analyst will be expected to:
- Gather and analyze requirements for the new case management system
- Create comprehensive technical documentation
- Collaborate with stakeholders using Agile methodologies
- Develop user test, system test, and user acceptance test plans
- Contribute to project management activities
- Facilitate change management processes
- Utilize strong communication skills to interact with various team members and stakeholders
